Wow, what a journey it has been to get here…
I’m almost ready to cross the start line in my first ever marathon, and I couldn’t have done it without all your support and donations towards the Truro and District Cats Protection Branch!
As I type this, I’m less than £100 from reaching my total, which in itself, is an epic achievement! So thankyou to every single one of you that has donated!!
Donations are still VERY welcome though, so if you havent donated and would like to, here is the link: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/Leanne-Roger
And now for the exciting bit… the last stage of my marathon journey is the actual running bit!
For a few hours tomorrow, you can track me and follow my progress as I run the London Marathon! (Well, that’s what the lovely marathon people say anyway so let’s hope the technology works!)
Of course, you can watch the telly box and TRY to spot me amongst 50,000 other crazy people, or you can download the official app onto your smartphone… I will post a photo tomorrow morning showing what I’m wearing, so that you know who to look for!?
Go to the following website and download the app: https://www.virginmoneylondonmarathon.com/the-event/the-official-app
Once downloaded, confirm you are a spectator…
Then go to the page that says ‘Tracking’ and enter my bib number – 31804.
Then you can click on my name, and see all my data, and hopefully where I am on the course map!?
Of course, this is technology dependent so it could all fail, but if it works it will be fab!
My official start time is 10.15am and I would like to finish before 3.30pm… but at this point, I will just be happy to finish in one piece and have a glass of wine after crossing the finish line?!
(And if you manage to spot me on the telly box, please tell me!)
Thanks again for your support, encouragement and words of wisdom… 🥰
