It’s been a busy few weeks in the Gizmo household, but today, everything was brought to a halt when Gizmo appeared unwell again…
Since his bout of sickness last month, I’ve been keeping a close eye on him, and touch wood he’s been fine. No more sickness, no weight loss, no loss of appetite and still continuing with his normal Gizmo behaviour (Yes, this involves regularly bringing live mice home, and chasing squirrels in the garden) ๐ฑ ๐ณ๐ฟ๏ธ
He has been quite aggressive at times over the last few days, but today, I noticed a change in his eyes and his coat wasn’t as glossy as normal. I knew something was wrong, so off we went to the vets…
After a very thorough (and challenging examination!!) the vet thinks that Giz has a virus, which would explain his change in behaviour and appearance.
At the moment, I’ve just got to keep an eye on him and if any other symptoms arise, then get back in touch…
Hopefully his immune system will tackle the virus, and he will return to the mischevious glossy coated, wide eyed kitty that we all love โค๏ธ
Hope Gizmo is feeling better soon!

Thankyou Rita โค๏ธ His behaviour is still normal today, but his eyes aren’t… It’s very odd. He seems happy enough in himself, purring away as he gets stroked, but I’m concerned it’s not just a virus ๐ Typical anxious human, always on the lookout for hidden problems. X
